Pacifica™ hops were released by the HortResearch (of the New Zealand Hop Breeding Programme) in 1994. It is the offspring of Hallertau Mittelfrüh and open pollination. It has soft but solid bittering properties (5.0-6.0% AA) and is a beautiful blend of old-world floral and spice and bright citrus of the new world. The juicy aroma is best described as orange.
